The Inspiration
In 2008 Land Rover donated 3 Defender 110's to be used by the Mongolian Red Cross, these vehicles allow the Mongolian Red Cross to reach vulnerable people throughout Mongolia. With a mainly nomadic population of under 3 million, spread over and an area in excess of 1,500,000 km² (more than 6 times the size of the UK) and with very few roads, these vehicles have been central to the Mongolian Red Cross's humanitarian work.
The Mission
To Purchase a Land Rover Defender 110, a Trailer loaded with Spare Parts and Medical Supplies, and deliver it to the Mongolian Red Cross.
The Purpose
The 3 Defenders previously Donated by Land Rover to the Mongolian Red Cross can only cover a small amount of the population (due to the size of the country and lack of roads), another vehicle will greatly increase their ability to reach remote locations and to reach those in need of assistance. We are appealing for donations of vehicle spare parts (Td5 / Puma or 110) to enable the MRC to keep the existing vehicles maintained and operational.
